UV LED (Black Light) Inspection Lighting

UV LED lamps are used in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to inspect the surface for cracks inspection in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI).

LUYOR manufactures a range of mains and battery-powered, hand-held / portable UV LED lamps, torches UV LED, and overhead UV LED for different NDT applications to meet the demands of the general industry as well as the aerospace industry.

Our UV LED lamps are tested and complied with the requirements of ASTM E3022, and some of products also compliance with Rolls-Royce RRES 90061 and NADCAP standard.

UV light for Non-destructive Testing (NDT)

UV Inspection Lights are used in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for fluorescing fluorescent magnetic inks and fluorescent dye penetrants. UV light or black light with a peak wavelength of 365nm creates the optimal viewing conditions.

Quality Assurance supervisors and NDT technicians can perform their fluorescent penetrant testing and magnetic particle inspection with confidence by using LUYOR’s UV LED lights either in-house or on the field at extremely tough environments. All LUYOR UV LED lights for nondestructive testing (NDT) utilize a peak wavelength of 365nm or near all. LUYOR’s UV lights comply with standards and requirements as below:

Lab. and clean room

To detect and reveal previously invisible soils and contamination where disease-causing bacteria and viruses can breed. It is a state-of-the-art method for verifying and improving cleanliness and sanitation in the most important areas of your facilities. LUYOR UV LED lamps is widely used by the Lab. and clean room of office, factory, hospitality, health care, food service and government agencies. LUYOR UV LED lights can inspect particles as small as 30μm that are not visible to the human eye and prevent contamination.

After cleaning machined castings

By inspecting the cleaned parts with LUYOR Ultra Violet (UV) light, you will detect contamination that is not possible to see with the human eye.

Prior to assembly in Lab. and clean room

It is of utter importance that the parts are clean prior to entering the assembly. Illuminating the parts with LUYOR UV light prior to entering the clean room decreases the risk of contamination.

For Hygiene & Sanitation reason

Detect urine and other body fluids, food stains, bacterial growths, mold growths, food spoilage, rodent contamination, and other unsanitary conditions.

Leak Testing & Leak Detection

To detect leakage not visible to the human eye and identify leakage at an early stage. A wide selection of LUYOR UV LED lights can be used in combination with PMG-fluorescent dye to perform leak detection tests. In order to detect fluid leaks and their sources quickly, LUYOR UV LED lights can be used together with PMG-fluorescent tracer, which is the additives. This method is used by most manufacturers of petrol and diesel vehicle engines.

Gem & Mineral Inspection

The fluorescence of gems and gemstones is a result of UV radiation absorbed by the impurities or structural flaws of the stones. Detecting alternations and restoring cultural treasures, LUYOR UV LED lights have been used by gemologists, jewelers and hobbyists alike to identify the correct minerals either at a work environment or out in the open.

Not only paintings can be examined with UV, but also pieces of art made of marble, jade, and ivory. Some minerals have the ability to temporarily absorb a small amount of light and release it at a different wavelength. This change in wavelength causes a temporary color change of the mineral, making it visible to the naked eye.

Curing & Coating

UV curing is used in many industries including automotive, electronics, telecommunications, graphic arts, converting and metal, glass and plastic decorating. LUYOR UV LED lights is suitable to be used and offer short curing times to handling strength, low heat generation and energy consumption.

Curing using

Curing with LUYOR high-intensity UV light is used to instantly dry inks, coatings, and adhesives. The process is based on a photochemical reaction when liquid monomers and oligomers are mixed with photoinitiators and exposed to UV light.

Curing Silicon at low temperature

Many silicone products are cured using LUYOR UV light for electronic display applications. During such process the curing time must be very short and the temperature as low as possible.

UV inspection of coatings on PCBs

Most PCBs manufactured are sealed with coating for moisture protection and water protection. So it is very significant that the coating is applied in a correct way on the PCB covering the components it is intended to. Some components are crucial to cover, others must not be covered. Inspecting the PCB with LUYOR UV lights ensure that the coating has been applied correctly.
